For more than 20 years, South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel has brought some of the most recognized celebrities in America to the area to speak at the Women’s Life Conference. Hundreds of women from throughout this region and several states have attended the event since it began in 1990. The upcoming event set for Saturday, April 25^th will  feature Actress, Author and Inspirational Christian Speaker Lisa Whelchel, best known for her role as Blair on the television series The Facts of Life. The Women’s Life Conference will also feature nationally known comedian duo, Bessie and Beulah, Our Doctors – a physician panel of local providers answering the top questions in women’s health, a continental breakfast and luncheon and musician Charles Carter. The date of the conference is set for Saturday, April 25^th from 8 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Jones County Junior College in Ellisville.
