Laurel is now home to South Central Regional Medical Center’s first fellowship trained sports medicine specialist, Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Derrick Burgess. Dr. Burgess came to South Central to lead the sports medicine program, which is designed to treat a variety of athletic conditions.
