ComfortCare Nursing Center Celebrates 100th Birthday of Ms. Mary Louise Nation McLean

Ms. Mary McLean Celebrates 100th Birthday at CCNC

On May 2, 2017, ComfortCare Nursing Center residents, staff and guests joined together to celebrate a momentous occasion. Ms. Mary Louise Nation McLean, resident at ComfortCare Nursing Center, celebrated her 100th birthday. Ms. McLean was surrounded by family and friends as they sang ‘Happy Birthday’, ate cake and opened gifts together.

Ms. McLean was born on May 2, 1917 to Nicholas and Eula Nation in Appleton City, Missouri. She married Robert H. McLean on August 11, 1939 and together they had two sons, Robert H. McLean, Jr. and William L. McLean (wife Patricia). Ms. McLean’s grandchildren include Matthew R. McLean (wife Cristy) and Christopher W. McLean (wife Betsy). Her great-grandchildren include: Dalton McLean, Madison McLean, Lorelia McLean, Emma Catherine McLean and Graham McLean.

Ms. McLean attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. She worked as a legal secretary in Kansas City, Missouri. During her time in Missouri, she volunteered at several charities, including Lutheran Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She has lived in Kansas City, St. Louis, and Phoenix. For the past 10 years, Laurel has been her hometown.

Her hobbies included painting, golfing and reading. According to her family, she was a devoted wife, is a caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She has always put her family first in life.

ComfortCare Nursing Center is proud to celebrate this historic event with Ms. McLean and her family.
