The South Central Regional Medical Center is continuing to add new physicians, technology, and services.  As the second largest employer in Jones County with more than 2,000 employees and more than 125 healthcare providers, the organization provides healthcare services to the residents of Jones County and surrounding areas.  During the last year, the health system upgraded its MRI suite to include some of the most advanced technology available today.  South Central Regional Medical Center added new physicians throughout the year including Emergency Department physicians, OB-GYNs, and Pediatricians. Throughout the year, work continued on South Central’s $39 million construction project which when complete will feature a new Emergency Department, a new Wellness and Rehabilitation Center, a helicopter pad, and a new medical office building.  The new areas will allow South Central to grow in efficiency and service to its patients.
