Many of you have already made your new year’s resolutions for 2019, and good health is at the top of the list. In an effort to improve your health, South Central Regional Medical Center is hosting a free Community Health Fair for adults Friday, February 1st from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at South Central Place in Laurel. Free Health screenings will include non-fasting cholesterol and blood glucose, kidney, blood pressure, cataract, prostate cancer, and others.
Long time Internal Medicine Physician in Laurel, Dr. Mark Horne of the South Central Diabetes Center will be on hand to talk with those getting screened for cholesterol and blood glucose about diabetes. There will also be information available about the South Central Diabetes Support Group, and Diabetes Education Classes. There will also be information about anxiety and depression, wound care, cancer care, the South Central Wellness Center and more.
