The Digestive Tract

Posted on November 30, 2015

The digestive tract is designed to turn the food you eat into nutrients, which the body uses for energy, growth, and cell repair.  Dr. Carolyn Cegielski states that “it’s very import, obviously, for the nutritional purposes.”  She further states that it also plays a vital role in the immune system, determining whether the bacteria in the food you eat is good (let go by) or bad (neutralize).

If your digestive tract is in trouble, you may experience symptoms such as nausea or bloating.  Aside from the expected diarrhoea and vomiting, other symptoms of trouble can be low energy or general fogginess.  The team at Jefferson Medical can help screen you for problems.
