Each facility provides a warm, home-like atmosphere for the residents. Our focus is on person centered care. It is a priority for us that each resident feels a part of the community environment. From life enriching activities, restaurant-style dining, socials and resident led gatherings; we encourage each person to stay active and engaged with the other residents.

Services offered at ComfortCare Nursing Center and Jones County Rest Home include:

Does the facility accept Medicaid and Medicare?

ComfortCare Nursing Center accepts Medicaid and Private Pay for Long-Term Care and accepts Private Pay only for Assisted Living. Jones County Rest Home accepts Medicare, Medicaid and Private Pay.

Does your facility offer therapy?

Yes. We have Physical, Occupational and Speech therapists on staff.

How is your facility staffed?

We strive to exceed the minimum staffing requirements governed by the Mississippi State Department of Health, Division of Licensure and Certification. Effort is made to maintain consistent staffing assignments so our residents and staff are able to development meaningful relationships.

How often do the physicians visit?

Doctors make rounds at each facility a minimum of five days per week. A physician is on call at all times.

Are the residents allowed to leave the facility?

Yes! We encourage residents to stay connected to their family and community through outings. Residents with Medicare as their pay source are able to leave the facility for brief outings.

What are other costs besides room and board?

Barber and Beauty Shop visits are an additional expense to the resident.

What items do I bring to the Nursing Home?

It is recommended that you bring five to seven outfits, gowns or pajamas, underwear and socks. Other items, such as personal hygiene and decorations, will be discussed at time of admission.

How often can I visit and what are the visiting hours?

There are no set visiting hours; however, we recommend visitation between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. This visiting time allows for our residents to have adequate quiet times for resting.

Do you provide transportation to appointments?

The facility will arrange transportation for the resident to and from appointments if necessary. We request that a family member accompany the resident to all appointments.

Are pets allowed in the facility?

Pets are allowed to visit the facility; however, we request the pet either be held or remain on a leash.
