“Our most valuable asset here at GE Ellisville is our people and we continually look for ways to invest in their health,” said Ellisville site leader Nate Beach. “The Health and Wellness Center will make it easier for our employees to be healthy and stay healthy.”

GE Aviation Ellisville Composites will partner with South Central Regional Medical Center, which has served the health care needs of southern Mississippi since 1952.

“We’re thrilled to team up with South Central Regional Medical Center,” said GE Aviation Health Service Executive Craig Osterhues. “They have a strong tie with the community and are a best-in-class regional operation.”

“Our goal as the on-site medical provider for GE is to improve and sustain the health and quality of life for their employees and their families,” said South Central Regional Medical Center President and CEO Doug Higginbotham. “This clinic will provide GE employees easy access to healthcare services to promote a culture of health and wellness.”

GE Aviation opened the 340,000-square-foot Ellisville facility in March of 2013. Southern Mississippi was chosen because of its expanding aerospace corridor, business-friendly climate and the work of institutions of higher education to train and equip a world-class workforce.

“We are excited to see GEA opening their Health and Wellness Center,” said the Jones County Economic Development Authority Vice President Sandy Holifield. “It is wonderful to see it all coming together. These components just show GEA’s commitments to their staff’s health and wellbeing. We are so proud to have GEA as a corporate partner here in Jones County and look forward to their continued growth and success.”

GE Aviation Ellisville Composites manufactures and assembles new composite components that are unique in the aviation industry, including the bestselling LEAP™ jet engine developed by CFM, a joint company of GE and Snecma (SAFRAN) of France.

“Most companies say they want people to leave in the same condition that they arrived in,” Beach said. “I challenge our team every day to leave in better condition than they arrive in. Our Health and Wellness Center will make that easier for everyone.”
