Community Blood Drive at Wellness Center and SCRMC April 13-14
South Central Regional Medical Center and United Blood Services will host a community Blood Drive on Wednesday, April 13th, at the Wellness Center from 10 am to 4 pm and on Thursday, April 14th, at South Central Regional Medical Center from 7 am to 6 pm.
O-negative is called the universal blood type because patients of all blood types can safely receive it. O-negative donors are vital to United Blood Services blood supply. If you are 0-negative or if you know someone that is, please consider donating at the SCRMC Community blood drive on April 13th and 14th.
If you would like to donate and have issues with low iron, start United Blood Services encourages you to start building your iron now. It usually takes four weeks to build enough iron to donate blood.
In an effort to keep blood donors wait as short as possible, United Blood Services offers appointment donation times. To schedule an appointment, please visit bloodhero.com (Sponsor Code: SCRMC) or contact Bonnie Smith at 601-426-4704. If you are unable to schedule an appointment, walk-ins are always accepted.
