Approximately 15 million American adults deal with clinical depression every year. South Central Regional Medical Center community liaison Donna Bailey explains, “Depression can happen and does happen truthfully to everyone sometime in their life.” Depression is a chemical imbalance of the brain. Psychiatrist Stuart Samson, MD states, “Clinical algorithms have to do with the unnecessary gild, loss of motivation, fatigue, anxiety, insomnia, or hypersomnia meaning too much sleep, loss of appetite, social withdrawal…” The most effective form of treatment is medication management with taught therapy.
