While the holidays are often thought of as joyful, for people who are going through a difficult situation like a divorce or a recent death in the family, the holidays can be particularly stressful. Mental health therapist Rhonda Smith explains, “Stress during the holidays can cause depression, anxiety, loss of sleep, loss of appetite., feeling overwhelmed, just basically having too much to do and not enough time to do it.” If you experience any of these symptoms, please ask for help.
