Shilpa Shukla, MD, a pediatrician at Ellisville Pediatric Clinic, says she has always wanted to be a pediatrician.  She went to a medical school in India, and it was the only thing she wanted to do.  She then moved to the United States where she completed her pediatric training in New York.  Dr. Shukla explains, “As a part of the medical school, the time I spend with the kids was the most rewarding time.”  She went into pediatrics because she loves taking care of kids and watching them grow.  She says that she loves living and practicing medicine in South Central Mississippi.  Her husband, an oncologist, came to Laurel first and loved the community and the people, and she couldn’t agree more.  Dr. Shilpa Shukla, Dr. Achyutha Pujari, Dr. Patricia Tibbs, and Nurse Practitioner Carley Robinson work very hard to provide the best care for their patients.
