South Central Regional Medical Center serves as the second largest employer in Jones County with more than 2,000 employees. The system includes a 285-bed regional medical center, 22 medical clinics, two nursing homes, a comprehensive cancer care center, wellness and outpatient rehabilitation center, a cosmetic and plastic surgery center, a home health and hospice division, and many more. EMServ, South Central’s emergency response team has a fleet of nineteen emergent and non-emergent transport vehicles, which serve the residents around this area.
SCRMC experienced continued growth in 2017. The health system broke ground on a new 30-bed emergency department, a new outpatient rehabilitation and wellness facility, and a medical office building which will be complete by 2020. The new areas will allow South Central to grow in efficiency and service to its patients. The medical staff continues to grow with new physicians joining South Central’s care team annually.
