Cindy was selected as the Employee of the Month for May 2018. She is a Team Leader in Home Health and has been employed by South Central Regional Medical Center for 28 years. Cindy said her favorite thing about working for South Central is the people she works with.

Cindy attended Laurel High School and Matty Hersee School of Nursing. Cindy has one son, Matthew, who also works for SCRMC. She said the proudest moment of her life was the birth of her son.

In her  free time, Cindy enjoys painting furniture, reading, going to flea markets, shopping, and collecting Blue Ridge dishes. Cindy’s favorite books are anything written by John Grisham or Rick Bragg. Her favorite TV shows are Hometown and Forensic Files, and her favorite movie is Forrest Gump.

When asked who at SCRMC has influenced her to strive for excellence, Cindy said, “I think my patients give me the desire to strive for excellence – I have a ‘heart’ for elderly people and my job affords me the opportunity to help them as needed’.”
