Robert A. DeSantis, MD, Joins South Central Regional Medical Center

Effective January 1, 2019, Laurel OBGYN, PA is now OB-GYN Group of Laurel

Effective January 1, 2019, Robert A. DeSantis, MD, and staff at Laurel Obstetrics and Gynecology, PA, will join South Central Regional Medical Center. The facility name will change to OB-GYN Group of Laurel, a division of South Central Clinics. Dr. DeSantis is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist that has provided healthcare for women of all ages since 1991.

Dr. DeSantis completed medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1991. While serving in the United States Army, Dr. DeSantis completed his internship and residency training at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1995. Since completion of his training, Dr. DeSantis has practiced in Hattiesburg, MS, Birmingham, AL and his hometown of Laurel.

In 2014, Dr. DeSantis and his family returned home to Laurel to open Laurel Obstetrics and Gynecology, PA, and Mississippi Hormone Health and Wellness, PA. Since this time, the community and patients have developed a relationship with the staff of Laurel OB-GYN, PA. With the transition to South Central Clinics, the staff, location and phone number will remain the same.

Dr. DeSantis and staff will join OB-GYN Group of Laurel. He will continue to share call with South Central OB-GYN physicians, Michael Weber, MD, Rachel Cudworth, DO, and Keith Winstead, DO.

Dr. DeSantis will continue to provide healthcare for women of all ages. Services will include: general obstetrics and gynecological care, high risk pregnancy, adolescent care, hormone replacement therapy, urinary incontinence, infertility, preventative health and minimally invasive surgery including the daVinci® Surgical System at SCRMC.
