Kristina was selected as the Employee of the Month for February 2019. She is a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab and has been employed by South Central Regional Medical Center for 3½ years. Kristina said her favorite thing about working for South Central is, “it feels like you are working with family, however this family is very large. Everyone works as a team to get a job done and that job is providing the best care to patients.”

Kristina attended Northeast Jones High School, received her RN degree from JCJC, and received her BSN at William Carey University. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Nursing Education. Kristina is married to Michael Wilkerson and they have 2 daughters, Cadie (7) and Maddie (4). She said the proudest moments of her life have been becoming a wife and mother.

In her  free time, Kristina enjoys attending spending time with family, fishing, boating, camping, outdoor activities, music, and TV. Her favorite books are romance novels, favorite TV shows are Friends and Parenthood, and her favorite movie is Steel Magnolias.

When asked who at SCRMC has influenced her to strive for excellence, Kristina said, “my fellow employees of the Cardiac Cath Lab influence me every day to strive for excellence. We all work as a team in our department to make sure we are providing our patients with the best care.”
