Brad Ford, a pastor at Corinth Church and hip replacement surgery patient, was one who was very well able to articulate his difficulties with his activities of daily life. He was having a hard time putting his shoes and socks on. Charles Black, an Orthopaedic Surgeon at South Central Regional Medical Center, drew pictures on the paper of what to explain to Brad Ford and showed him pictures of what to expect and how the procedure would go, step by step. The great thing too was, he wouldn’t explain all this unless Brad’s spouse was present at the time. So, it was a joint venture with his wife. Based on conversations with Dr. Black, Pastor Ford decided to have an anterior hip replacement, performed at South Central Regional Medical Center. They did the surgery on a Thursday.
