What’s the old saying? An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and I think that’s true. The important things are to know four numbers; your blood sugar, your blood cholesterol, your BMI, or body mass index, and your blood pressure. Because those four points can determine if other things need to be done to try to improve your future health outcome. 50 and older, generally need to be seen every year. And that’s incorporated in the Annual Wellness Visit that medicare encourages them to do, which goes through a list of preventive services that would be appropriate for them; home safety measures, different things that screen the overall health and environment of a person.
