Dr. Bradley of South Central Eye & Laser Center, states, “A cataract is a cloudiness or an opacity in the lens of the eye. When we are born the lens is naturally clear but as we age, part of the aging process, the lens discolors, become cloudy and it becomes increasingly hard to focus. The only treatment for cataracts is cataract surgery. Where we remove the cataract through a small incision. Following the procedure, most activities can be done without glasses.”
