SCRMC’s ComfortCare Home Health and Hospice team offers thoughtful, personalized care to each of their patients, but they exceeded all expectations when they cared for the Hughes family in the wake of a house fire. 

The Hospice team not only cared for the patient who was living in the home, but with the help of the South Central Health Care Foundation, they also helped provide clothes, lodging and other immediate needs for the Hughes family. 

“The support we are able to provide the community is based on the financial support that we receive from the community. That is why it’s so important for people to come out to our events or do an annual giving with us so that we can help those in our own community,” said Kaitlin Bossier, the South Central Health Care Foundation Director.
