EMServ Selected for Medical Team at Camp Shelby JCLC

Posted on June 13, 2025

EMServ staff members Kaileigh Burns & Raimey Brown were on site from June 1-5 at Camp Shelby for the JCLC 2025 as part of their hand-selected medical team. Around 400 cadets from all over Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana participated in five days of leadership challenges.

The program, by design, aims to teach children in grades 8 – 11 teamwork, physical fitness, team building and “out of the box” problem solving. Cadets from Alpha Company-blue, Bravo-tan, Charlie-red, and Delta-green spent the days alongside military members completing missions and various training exercises.

Kaileigh Burns provided medical support at the Land Nav & Litter carry courses while Raimey Brown manned the Leader Reaction Course.

“Watching these children go from kids to young adults in a matter of five days was inspiring. I learned so much by watching them, it was an incredibly rewarding week,” said EMServ Supervisor Raimey Brown.

“This was truly an eye-opening experience. We didn’t know what to expect and were blown away at how hard these children worked,” said EMServ Supervisor Kaileigh Burns. “It was hot, and they showed so much determination.”

EMServ was honored to be selected to participate in this unique training event, and they are looking forward to continuing to support this event in the years to come.
