SCRMC is proud to use the EnVisio surgical device to aid in surgery, particularly breast surgery. The device uses radio frequency to help locate particular areas of tissue that have been located through X-ray or ultrasound and marked by a radiologist.
“I think South Central does a great job of allowing us to keep on top of new technology,” South Central general surgeon Chad Saul, MD, said. “EnVisio is an example of staying on top of technology. This is relatively new technology in the last few years that’s improving the accuracy of breast biopsy surgery.”
