South Central Health Care Foundation Hosts Second Annual Teddy Bear Tea

Posted on December 1, 2025

On Saturday, more than 100 guests of all ages celebrated the start of the Christmas season by attending the second annual South Central Health Care Foundation Teddy Bear Tea.

The event, which was held at South Central Place, featured a special reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas,’ photos with Santa, various treats along with tea and hot cocoa, reindeer food stations and a commemorative South Central Health Care Foundation teddy bear for each child to keep.

“Teddy Bear Tea is a wonderful event that not only offers a festive and enjoyable time for parents and families to create Christmas memories as the holiday season begins, but it also raises funds for an incredibly important cause,” said Samantha Andrus, Chief Administrative Officer. “The proceeds from this event benefit the South Central Health Care Foundation’s ‘Where Care Begins – A Capital Campaign for Women and Children’ that focuses on revitalization of the hospital’s Maternal Child Unit.”

Over the past five years, the dedicated team at SCRMC has welcomed more than 4,000 babies into the world. As the needs of women and children continue to grow, SCRMC remains steadfast in its mission to deliver exceptional, compassionate care to every mother, every baby and every child.

This commitment is being brought to life through a comprehensive renovation of the maternal, child and pediatric floor—creating a space designed to nurture families and provide the highest standard of care.
