Invest in Yourself. Invest in Others. Start a Career in Long-Term Care.

SCRMC Offers Various Employment Options in Long-Term Care.

Do you enjoy helping others, making a difference in your community, and forming bonds? If you said yes, you may want to consider starting a career in a long-term care facility. Employees within long-term care facilities enjoy several benefits. South Central Regional Medical Center is looking to employ candidates who are looking to advance professionally, while providing compassion and comfort to individuals in their later-stages of life.

Alex Pippen, RN, Administrator at ComfortCare Nursing Center explains. “Long-term care is different. You really get to invest in the residents that live in that facility. You get to know their families, you get to experience things in their lives that you do not normally get to experience in other parts of healthcare. That may include experiencing the birth of their grandchildren, family that comes in from out of town for the holidays, you get to meet them and you really get to provide a home-like feel to the residents that live in our facilities.”

To encourage individuals to grow in their profession, South Central provides educational assistance if you want to advance in a nursing career while you are employed by SCRMC.

Alex states, “I started my career at South Central in 2006 as a physical therapy transporter. From that job, it encouraged me to go onto nursing school, I attended the LPN program at Jones College and received my LPN license. While working as a full time LPN, South Central assisted me with achieving my RN degree and license. After experience and growth in other areas, that path led me eventually to become a nursing home administrator.”

When you work in a caring and supportive environment, this leads to a highly rewarding job that you look forward to going to each day. Health professionals choose to work in long-term care facilities to have a positive daily impact on their patients’ lives. In long-term care at South Central, we strive to employ kind, compassionate, and empathetic individuals that care about the health and well-being of each patient.

SCRMC offers competitive compensation and benefits packages, flexible scheduling, a retirement plan, childcare services, earned time off, paid sick leave, and much more.
