SCRMC is a growing health system that provides advanced treatments and technology to rural populations. The organization prides itself on its ability to provide patients with varying medical concerns, with comprehensive and compassionate care closer to home.
Here, your work does more than treat symptoms; it helps neighbors and communities thrive. When you help a patient heal, you are helping a small business owner reopen their doors, a farmer return to the fields or a grandparent attend a school play.
SCRMC, with collaboration from its partner hospitals, provides service to Jones, Jasper, Wayne, Covington and Smith counties, making its impact more significant.
SCRMC is seeking skilled physicians who share our values, understand our mission to provide accessible care and want to help shape a healthier future —right here at home.

At South Central, we understand that a fulfilling and balanced quality of life is essential for both personal well-being and professional growth. We believe that a healthy work-life balance fosters resilience and ultimately improves patient care, which is why we implement reasonable scheduling and time away from practice.
We also aim to cultivate a culture where physicians have the right combination of autonomy to practice according to their preferences and support from hospital administration. We encourage physicians to collaborate across departments to accommodate the needs of each patient, working together to create the best possible outcomes for the patient.
Core values are the guiding principles that shape South Central’s culture and influence how individuals interact with one another, make decisions, and approach challenges.
At SCRMC, we believe in the power of HEART—Honesty, Empathy, Adaptability, Responsibility and Teamwork. These values are not just words on a page, but essential traits that define who we are and how we operate.
By embracing HEART, we create an environment where integrity, compassion and collaboration are at the core of everything we do, ensuring sustainable success for both individuals and the organization as a whole.
