South Central Regional Medical Center is pleased to name Sharon Meadows as the Employee of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2025.
Meadows joined South Central in October 2011 as a technologist in the laboratory at Laurel Family Clinic, now known as South Central Family Medicine.
Over the years, she has demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, advancing to the role of Lab Supervisor, where she played a key part in strengthening laboratory operations and supporting her team.
Today, Meadows continues to serve as a technologist while also training the newly appointed Lab Supervisor, ensuring a smooth transition and continued excellence within the department.
Meadows was nominated by multiple coworkers throughout the quarter. Each nomination reiterated her exceptional commitment to delivering high‑quality patient care.
“Sharon is passionate about the services we provide at the Diagnostic Center,” Karen Cardwell and Kaye Holifield said. “From greeting the patient as they cross the threshold to carrying out the various services offered. The patient is to be treated with kindness, respect and compassion. She stresses the importance of teamwork and encourages each team member to put forth their best efforts in order to not only reassure the patient but to also assure the provider that the testing results are accurate.”
Skilled lab personnel are important in ensuring the clinics can run properly and Meadows’ work ethic and positive attitude set the tone for the entire department.
“It is such an honor to be named Employee of the Quarter,” Meadows said. “Taking care of our patients is priority number one, and it is important work that we do.”
The process of choosing who receives the Employee of the Quarter distinction begins with an internal nomination process, which is open to any member of the SCRMC staff who wishes to submit a peer for consideration. Then the winner is chosen through an anonymous numbers-based voting process by a committee of individuals from across the organization.
