Is your residency program accredited by the ACGME? Our program will be reviewed by the ACGME Internal Medicine Review Committee at their January 2025 meeting and, we believe, we will receive status of Initial Accreditation at that time. Interested candidates should submit an application through ERAS.
How many positions are available in your program? Our program recruits for 10 categorical positions each year for a total complement of 30 internal medicine positions.
When do the new residents start? Orientation begins at the end of June. The academic year for residents begins on July 1st.
Do you accept international medical school graduates? International medical school graduates are welcome to apply to our program.
Does you institution sponsor visas? We sponsor J-1 Visas on a case-by-case basis for qualified applicants.
Do you accept COMLEX scores? Our program accepts COMLEX or USMLE exam scores, or both exams as well.
Should I still apply to your program if I failed the USMLE/COMLEX on a prior attempt? We prefer candidates who pass the USMLE exams on the first try but evaluate candidates from a holistic perspective.
Will I be working with medical students? Residents will work with medical students.
Is there support for research and conference attendance? Our Graduate Medical Education Department is invested in the growth, development, and success of our residents. Our organization has offerings related to research, and many opportunities to pursue scholarly activity. We will support resident publication and presentation at local, regional, and national conference in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
