These physicians play a large role in the patient’s wellbeing. Surgeons at South Central General Surgery include Kevin Ivey, MD, Seth Ladd, DO, and Chad Saul, MD.

Dr. Ladd explains the philosophy of care for the practice. “Our goal is to provide the best surgical options for the patient at the appropriate time in their life. To achieve this, we communicate with each other not only in our practice, but also communicate personally with your primary care physician or your specialist such as your medical oncologist, urologist, or OB/GYN. We work together at the same time to have your current health information in one system. Using this cohesive process, it provides a safe process for the patient from diagnosis to recovery.”

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on a wide range of procedures including: abdominal surgeries, breast procedures/surgery, colon, rectal/anal surgery, hemorrhoids, hernias, laparoscopic surgery, minor skin procedures, oncological (cancer) surgery, robotically-assisted surgery, thyroid/parathyroid surgery and trauma/emergency surgery. The physician follows the patient through critical care and surgical recovery all the way to outpatient care.

“As a general surgeon, I am trained in a wide breadth of procedures,” said Dr. Ladd. “I am experienced in procedures such as acute care surgeries, gallbladder removal, hernia surgery and surgeries of the GI tract. I am also trained in burn and reconstructive surgery, as well as robotically-assisted surgery.”

General surgeons play a large role in patients’ wellbeing. Dr. Ladd explains, “I am dedicated to walk through the diagnosis process and road to recovery with each patient. By seeing their experience through their eyes, the care becomes personal. I find joy in being able to solve a problem and improve their quality of life.”
