I Love My Job | Kathy Fulmer, RN

Kathy Fulmer, RN, is a Labor and Delivery nurse at South Central Regional Medical Center, however, her career did not begin there. “I chose to work in healthcare because after the birth of my first child, I witnessed how much care nurses provide. I wanted to provide that same care to others,” said Kathy. Kathy became an LPN and started at SCRMC in 1988. Since then, she’s worked on the inpatient units, labor and delivery and at an OB-GYN clinic. After furthering her career, she chose to come back to SCRMC to practice.
Providing care to patients is priority to Kathy. “As a nurse, I’m an advocate, an educator, a listener and a medical provider. In Labor and Delivery, I am able to witness parents fall in love with their new additions and share their joy. Being able to provide quality care with all employees throughout this health system is a privilege and honor.”
