Benefits

Accident Insurance

Full time employees have the option to elect Accident coverage through Sun Life. Accident Insurance provides a benefit according to the schedule below when a covered person suffers covered injuries or undergoes a broad range of medical treatments or care resulting from a covered accident. Premiums are payroll deducted.

Accidental Death

Accidental death insurance in the amount of 1 x annual salary. This benefit is provided at no cost to you.

Critical Illness w/ Cancer Policy

Full time employees have the option to elect Critical Illness coverage through Sun Life. Critical Illness Insurance provides a cash benefit when a covered person is diagnosed with a covered critical illness or event.

Benefits include $50 reimbursement for annual wellness visit. Premiums are payroll deducted.

Day Care

The Children’s Academy is owned by the medical center. Hours of operation are 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., M-F. Fees are payroll deducted and can be tax exempt if included in the *Cafeteria Plan.

Dental Insurance

Single and Family coverage available. Low premiums and deductible. Premiums payroll deducted are tax exempt under the *Cafeteria Plan.

Earned Time Off

Up to 136 hours annually for the first 5 years of service and increasing each year until 9 years of services. Can be taken after 90 days of full time employment.

Employee Assistance Program

Employees and members of their household are entitled to 5 visits per year, at no cost, to our Employee Assistance Program. All services are confidential.

Employee Discounts

Employees and dependents receive a 20% discount on all account balances after insurance payments.

Employee Health Services

TB Skin Testing, Hepatitis B Immunization, Health Screenings, Health Promotions and other immunizations are offered, encouraging employees to maintain good personal health.

Flexible Spending Account *Cafeteria Plan

Eligible items include health and dental premiums, child care, and unreimbursed medical expenses.

Funeral Leave

Full time employees may receive up to 24 hours of paid leave in the event of a death in the immediate family.

Health Insurance

Full time employees are offered two plan options with Employee, Employee + Children, and Family coverage. Low deductible, prescription drug coverage, covered preventative screening, immunizations and vaccinations. Premiums are payroll deducted and tax exempt under the *Cafeteria Plan.

Hospital Indemnity Insurance

Full time employees are offered to elect Hospital Indemnity coverage through Sun Life. Hospital Indemnity Insurance helps employees close coverage gaps. Sun Life’s Hospital Indemnity insurance can help employees who have to stay in the hospital due to a covered accident or sickness. Our plan provides a lump-sum benefit to help protect your finances from the unexpected expenses of a hospital stay. Premiums are payroll deducted.

Jury Duty

Full time employees will receive regular pay for jury service.

Life Insurance

Full time employees are eligible for life insurance in the amount of 1 x their annual salary. This benefit is provided at no cost to the employee.

Long Term Disability

Full time employees are eligible to elect supplemental income during medical disabilities that exceed 90 days. Premiums are payroll deducted.

Meal Discounts

Employees receive a discount on select food items when Employee ID is presented at time of purchase and is payroll deducted.

Retirement Plan (403b)

All employees can participate in the 403b program with options pretax and/or Roth. Full time employees receive 100% up to 4% of employer match. Vesting starts after just two years of participation. See plan for details.

Retirement Plan (457)

The voluntary retirement plan allows contributions in excess of 403b limits. See plan for details.

Short Term Disability

Full time employees are eligible to elect supplemental income during medical disabilities that exceed 14 days. Premiums are payroll deducted.

Sick Leave

Full time employees earn up to 8 hours per month. Can be taken after 90 days of full time employment.

Sick Leave Reimbursement

Full time employees receive pay at a 2:1 ratio of all hours over the 720 hour maximum, not to exceed $1,000. Paid in December of each year.

Tuition Reimbursement

Full time employees may receive one half of tuition up to a maximum of $800 per semester with approved application. See policy for more details.

Vision Insurance

Full time employees are offered two plan options with Employee and Family coverage. SCRMC offers vision coverage through UHC which uses the Standard Vision network. The Vision PPO Plan allows you to use in-network or out-of-network benefits. Premiums are payroll deducted, tax exempt. If enrolled in the Medical, the vision plan is provided at no cost and will mirror the Medical election.

Voluntary Life Insurance

Employees may purchase term life up to five times their annual salary at group rates. Coverage for spouse and children is also available. Premiums are payroll deducted.

Wellness Center Membership

Membership is provided at no additional charge for all employees. If you have SCRMC insurance on your spouse and dependent children, they can also join for free; if not covered by SCRMC insurance, they get a 50% discount. All new members receive a physical health assessment and a complete orientation on the fitness floor.
