Dr. Jovanovic, a native of Serbia, earned his medical degree from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Medicine in 2016. He later relocated to the United States, where he completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg in 2024. During his residency, he distinguished himself as Chief Resident, demonstrating exceptional leadership and dedication to patient care. Following residency, Dr. Jovanovic pursued advanced specialty training in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at the University of Minnesota, where he served as a Chief Fellow and completed his fellowship in June 2026.

Dr. Jovanovic treats patients at South Central Endocrinology, which is located between South Central Neurology and South Central Family Medicine. He is joined by Mark Horne, MD; and Rebecca Scarbrough, FNP.
